Instead of using a putty-filled impression tray that can be awkward and uncomfortable, the iTero Lumina scanner uses a small handheld wand to scan your mouth. This process creates a detailed, three-dimensional digital model of your teeth and gums. These images provide a clearer visualization of your smile and allow us to better explain your treatment options, creating a more engaging and informative patient experience.

More importantly, these precise 3D models support high-quality clinical decision-making and enhance diagnosis and treatment planning. We also use our iTero Lumina scanner to create orthodontic appliances such as retainers and expanders!!!
